Terms of Service
Last updated: September 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Flex Bundles Shopify app (the "App") and the flexbundles.com website (the "Site"), together the "Service". The Service is operated by Handstand ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing the App or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you are installing the App on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
Flex Bundles is built by Handstand and is distributed through the Shopify App Store. Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc.
The Service
Flex Bundles lets Shopify merchants create and sell product bundles. Bundles are added to the cart through Shopify's Cart API and processed by a Shopify Cart Transform Function so that bundle components flow through checkout and fulfillment as individual line items. The App also provides bundle analytics, data export, and an optional Bundles API for custom storefront integrations.
The App runs inside your Shopify store and depends on Shopify's platform, APIs, and Functions. Your use of Shopify remains subject to Shopify's own terms of service. Some features, such as free gift-with-purchase items, are only available on Shopify plans that support them.
Eligibility and Accounts
To use the App you need an active Shopify store and a staff account with permission to install apps. You are responsible for everyone who accesses the App through your store, including staff and collaborators, and for keeping any Bundles API keys you generate confidential. If you believe an API key has been compromised, revoke it in the App and generate a new one.
Plans, Billing, and Trials
The App is offered on subscription plans that are billed through Shopify and appear on your regular Shopify invoice. Current plans and prices are listed on our pricing page. Plans are tiered by monthly bundle sales, and every feature is available on every plan. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes, which Shopify may add to your invoice.
- Free trial. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. If you uninstall the App before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
- Monthly plans renew automatically every 30 days until you cancel.
- Annual plans are billed in advance for the year at a discount and renew automatically each year until you cancel.
- Upgrades take effect immediately on both monthly and annual plans, and Shopify prorates the difference for the rest of your current billing period.
- Downgrades and billing changes on an annual plan, including moving to a lower plan or switching to monthly billing, take effect at your next annual renewal. The unused portion of an annual term is not refunded.
- Plan limits are never enforced at checkout. If your bundle sales exceed your plan's limit, your bundles keep selling and the App will prompt you to move to the next plan.
Except where required by law or stated in these Terms, fees are non-refundable. We may change our prices or plans by giving notice on the Site or in the App at least 30 days before the change takes effect for existing subscribers.
Cancellation
You can change plans from inside the App at any time. To cancel your subscription, uninstall the App from your Shopify store. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund charges already made. After uninstall, your store's data is deleted from our systems as described in our Privacy Policy. Bundle configuration stored in your store's metafields remains in your store.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for how bundles are configured and presented in your store. In particular, you agree that:
- You will set bundle prices, discounts, and component selections correctly and review how they appear at checkout before making bundles available to customers.
- Any theme code, custom storefront, or Cart API integration you build or have built on top of the App is your responsibility. We publish integration documentation, but we do not control your storefront.
- You will comply with all laws that apply to your store, including consumer protection, pricing, and tax rules.
- You will not use the App to sell products that violate Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy or applicable law.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where the law allows it regardless of this restriction.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the App to third parties as a stand-alone service.
- Interfere with the Service, circumvent usage limits, or access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide.
- Use the Bundles API in a way that places unreasonable load on the Service.
Intellectual Property
We own the App, the Site, and all related software, documentation, and branding. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App with your Shopify store for the duration of your subscription. Sample code in our documentation may be used and modified in your own storefront without restriction.
You own your store data, product content, and bundle configurations. You grant us the rights needed to process that data in order to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability and Support
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, Shopify platform changes, or events outside our control may cause downtime. Support is provided by email and through the resources published on the Site.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on Shopify and on infrastructure and tooling providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, security, or conduct of third-party services, including changes Shopify makes to its platform or APIs that affect how the App works.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that bundles will be priced or fulfilled as you intend if configured incorrectly, or that the Service will be error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, arising out of or related to the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your store, your products, your storefront integrations, or your breach of these Terms.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by Shopify, or if we discontinue the Service, in which case we will give reasonable notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including those on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification, will survive.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
